CRM – Short for Customer Relationship Management is a tool to help you manage your prospect, clients and deals, all in one platform. When an employee leaves, they don't bring your client data with them, instead store within the company knowledge.
A survey done on corporate sales in US, the sales team spent more than 50% of their time to perform administrative work like processing orders, preparing quotes, and compiling sales note. This deter them from performing their main task, to serve clients. Lesser clicks implies less mouse movement which adds up to few hours a month. The only way to know is to test a few CRMs.
Large sets of data like a spreadsheet requires brain power and attention to kick start the day. Instead, sales data should be simple to understand from a single glance. Clicking on items will drill down to deeper data. These data should be, distance to target, sales stages and prompting the next actionable items.
Most CRM are good at displaying data. However, having data alone is not enough to push for action. A good CRM prompts action like follow up calls, processing orders, or schedule a newsletter and is being fed leads from other sources like ads and website.
